Using Catalogs and Categories in OneCPQ

Set up of Catalogs and Categories in OneCPQ

Transcript:

Hello viewers! Welcome to OneCPQ by Biztbaa. Today we'll focus on how and why to create catalogs and categories As a product manager or a sales team leader, you want to ensure your sales reps have the right products at the right time in the right place.

It's really beneficial to have your products grouped into catalogs and categories. otherwise known as a group of your individualized items. Assigning these catalogs enhances a focused selling approach.  making it easier for the end user to pick and choose.

This enhances guided selling , reduced errors and eliminates 99% of sales training so your reps can sell from day one.

A good example of having different catalogs could be a based on your business selling different product types. another eg could be your business model whereby In your organization, there could be various groups or teams of sales reps, one  supporting the govt sector business, one group who works on the European market, the other an American mkt, similarly for other regions or sectors too based on your business model, what you can do is create different catalogs for different groups and assign them to the respective group, and then your reps can just pull up those products or services that they cater to.

This way your sales reps are able to work on a specific catalog, and add to the cart only the products catered to a specific group instead of having to navigate 10s of catalogs for the suitable product and respective pricing.

So as a rep when you login for the American group user and click on add product, you only see a catalog that is set up of products for the American market.

Lets see how to set up a catalog and add your fav catalog for quick access.

While configuring in OneCPQ should there be any standard catalog it'll appear automatically by default you can view and select catalogs made available to you in this section here; categories belonging to the selected catalog will populate below these categories are based on their product definition already in this system products and images assigned to them can be viewed here in the middle section.
